Bicyclists encouraged to take the Bicycle Friendly Business survey

(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / July 11, 2016) – Ride a bike? Give your input on biking in Stillwater on the Bicycle Friendly Business survey from the League of American Bicyclists.

The deadline to respond to the survey is Friday, July 29 and it can be accessed at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BFB_Employee_Summer16.

The anonymous survey is part of the review process for the City of Stillwater’s application for a Bicycle Friendly Business designation and gives bicyclists an opportunity to share their views on the City’s efforts to accommodate cycling across Stillwater.

“We want to encourage our residents and employees who are cyclists or potential cyclists to fill out this survey because it will give us valuable insight into ways we can continue to support the biking experience at city venues and throughout our community,” Special Projects Director John McClenny said.

Residents are also invited to join the Bicyclist and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), an ad hoc citizen committee with open membership that focuses on the different modes of travel in Stillwater and brainstorms ways to advance travel opportunities for bicyclists, pedestrians and differently abled citizens in the community. More information about BPAC is at http://stillwater.org/government/bicyclist_and_pedestrian_ad_hoc_citizen_advisory_committee.php.
