From the Editor (November 2018)

We have entered the season of gratitude and I must confide that I have never felt more thankful then I have in recent days. Over fall break, our youngest son was in an accident that could have ended very badly. I don’t throw around the word “miracle” lightly when I say that it was a MIRACLE that he came through it with his life intact. In the end, he survived with only a broken thumb, and many bruises, abrasions, and some serious road-rash. Many, many prayers have been thrown up in thankfulness for his life. Many, many tears have been shed over how horribly wrong it could have gone. I don’t know why we were spared tragedy, but I will forever be thankful that we were.

This accident has been a reminder that our family is truly blessed. We have a roof over our heads and plenty to eat. We have opportunities to travel, to learn, to grow, and to succeed. We have friends. We have extended family. We have each other.

We are so thankful for all of our blessings—and our readers and advertisers are a big part of that. It is my hope, that you feel as blessed as we do and are able to carry that gratitude with you through this season of grace and giving and beyond into the new year.

Many blessings to you and yours.
