Stillwater has been growing as a healthy, sustainable community for some time now, providing things such as recycling and making it easier for everyone to be able to do so. The town has expanded to provide healthier eating options as well. For years, we have had the Stillwater Farmer’s Market and the Oksprouts Community Garden to encourage us to support our community and work together.
Stillwater has recently gained a new source for fresh, natural, and organic foods at great prices. Sprouts Farmers Market opened October 26, 2016 sparking the interest of many.
Sprouts is a healthy grocery store offering fresh, natural, and organic foods at reasonable prices. They appeal to the typical grocery shopper. If you are looking to improve your diet after the New Year, Sprouts offers healthier options at a great value.
At Sprouts, you’re going to find a produce section filled with the largest variety of fruits and vegetables in town along with unbeatable prices and helpful customer service.
Located inside of Sprouts is the Old Tyme Butcher Shop. The Old Tyme Butcher Shop provides our community with the freshest meats possible without the worry of added antibiotics or preservatives. They still grind a variety of meats in the store on a daily basis; which was how it was done in the days before “mass production” became a way of life.
The Vitamin and Body Care Department features a progressive range of superior, reasonably-priced vitamins, herbal supplements, homeopathic remedies and functional food, made with natural and organic ingredients.
Sprouts features a juice bar with a variety of fresh juices that are juiced daily.
- Sweet Beet Blend (Carrots, Beets, Apple, Lemon and Ginger)
- Green Power Punch (Celery, Apple, Cucumber, Kale, Parsley and Spinach)
- Healthy Glow (Carrot, Cucumber, Apple and Parsley)
- Energize Me (Pineapple, Apple, Pear and ginger)
Sprouts provides a variety of grab-and-go options as well in their Market Corner Deli. They prepare a variety of options to meet the needs of the on-the-go customers and convenience-seeking millennials.
They provide fresh-made sushi, ready-made sandwiches, several different sides, and pre-made dinner options.
They also have $3.99 build-your-own sandwiches made from fresh cut deli meat and fresh produce from their produce section.
The salad bar is stocked with ready-to-eat healthy and flavorful salads, prepared proteins, and healthy side dishes that you can grab on your lunch break.
They slice fresh fruits and vegetables for those who don’t have time to prepare a healthy lunch in a variety of sizes for your convenience.
Lastly, the first thing that you crave in the morning…a hot cup of organically grown coffee to start your day or refresh you on your lunch breaks.
The Market Corner Deli offers a complete menu of organic coffee creations, including cappuccinos, mochas and flavored lattes, as well as freshly brewed, organic hot or iced teas.
From shade-grown, fair-trade, and air-roasted beans to milk, creamers, non-dairy alternatives, flavorings, and sweeteners they serve up to 100% USDA Organic Certified products.

Sprouts is only Stillwater’s newest addition to the healthy options that are provided within our community. In the coming months, I plan to research and cover every aspect of healthy living and include them in the future issues of Stillwater Living Magazine.
