Makeover Masterpiece July 2016

For this month’s makeover, Audrey Poston made a huge change with Bobby Weinkauf’s appearance. Bobby came to Audrey through a referral from her sister, Beki. Bobby is a stay at home mom while working on obtaining her teaching certificate in English Language Arts. She enjoys reading. Her two sons, Renzi and Teague, are both on the autism spectrum so she’s really interested in advocacy for special needs children. Being a single mom, Bobby wanted a quick and easy hairstyle that was also fun and stylish for the summer.

Before beginning the color service, Audrey cut over 14 inches off of Bobby’s length! Getting rid of that bulk first helped Audrey design a color for the haircut. Bobby’s natural color is a medium dark brown but she wanted to make it quite a bit lighter and brighter for the summer. Highlights were applied all over to create a highlight/lowlight effect. After shampooing out the color, Audrey took the haircut one step further. She clipper cut one side and the nape area. With the remaining hair, Audrey created an asymmetrical bob with textured layers. When Bobby’s hair was damp, Redken’s Stay High was applied from roots to ends. Audrey used a large round brush to give Bobby’s hair some volume and movement. A large curling iron gave her hair a natural wave.

Bobby doesn’t typically wear a lot of make up so it was important that her new look be easy to duplicate. Audrey first applied bareMinerals Skinlongevity followed by Prime Time in Light. Matte foundation in Fairly Light was a perfect match for Bobby’s skin tone. Audrey used Skinny Dip bronzer to define her cheekbones and Hint Blush to add some color to her cheeks. The Sexy Neutrals palette provided just the right colors for a natural smoky eye. Nonstop Navy eyeliner complimented Bobby’s eyes. Universal Light brow pencil and Pale/Ash blonde powder helped Audrey define Bobby’s eyebrows. Lash Domination was the mascara used. Touch Up Veil was applied all over before Break Away lipstick.

Bobby definitely got the change she was asking for. Audrey had a lot of fun creating this dramatic new look for Bobby. Let our talented staff at LaRitz Salon & Spa help you look your very best. Call 405-372-8223, come by 115 W McElroy, or visit laritzsalon.com for more information!
