PTA Reflections Workshop this Saturday, Sept. 29


What:  COME AND GO EVENT FOR PTA “HEROES AROUND ME” REFLECTIONS WORKSHOP

When:  SATURDAY 9/29, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Where: PRAIRIE ARTS CENTER, 1001 S. Duck St., Stillwater, OK

Who: OPEN TO PRE-K TO 12TH GRADE STUDENTS FROM THE FOLLOWING STILLWATER PUBLIC SCHOOLS ON A COMPLIMENTARY BASIS:

  • Elementary: Highland Park, Sangre Ridge, Skyline, Westwood, Will Rogers
  • Secondary:  Stillwater Middle School, Junior High, High Schools

Speakers include Damon Blalack, Executive Director of Red Dirt Film Festival; Dr. Gayla Foster, Professor of Art Education at OSU, CEHA;  Bob Davis, Artist and Entrepreneur; Jason Wallace, Photographer and Graphic Designer; Lela Merkel, SHS student and senior dancer at Thriller Dance Studios; and students from OSU Creative Writing, Music, and Screen Studies Departments.

First 25 pre-registered SPS students who attend on 9/29 will get FREE REFLECTIONS TOTES.

Speakers will be available for 30-minute interactive talks/presentations every half hour starting at 10:30 a.m., so feel free to come anytime during the two hours, if you and/or your students are not able to attend for the whole time. The Stillwater PTA Reflections Arts-in-Education competition runs through the month of October, with final entries due by November 2, 2018.  More information about the 2018-2019 Stillwater PTA Reflections Program can be found at:  https://www.stillwaterschools.com/District/ThursdayFolders
