Raid Oklahoma Forum set for October 7 at OSU

Story provided by Alicia Murie

The Raid Oklahoma Forum that will be happening on October 7 at Oklahoma State University is one that I truly hope will unite the city together. Before you can go to the state and national level to raise support for a cause local success is essential. I want to begin this effort in Stillwater. I believe this city could be a shining example of how to help those living with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Disabilities.

For nearly nineteen years I have lived with all three of these. During the last six years, while I have lived in Stillwater, I have seen the best improvement and I have a new found hope. A hope like never before that I will be successful in accomplishing my goal to help Traumatic Brain Injury survivors. I set up TBI Raiders to be an organization as well as a business to help other groups with disabilities and  post traumatic stress disorder. I also hope to bring students and young adults who are not disabled into the fold to learn more and better prepare them for the workforce.

The Raid Oklahoma Forum is intended to help get a jump start on improving things for those in Stillwater who live with a Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Disability. The Forum will also create a platform addressing these issues in the coming election election as well as when elected officials candidate are in office. It will be our way to hold them accountable.
