Stamping in the New Year!

Story and photos provided by Nook & Cranny Mercantile

January for most people is a time for resolutions, goal-setting, organizing, and cleaning out.  Let’s face it, it’s also a time when we spend most of our time in our homes. It’s cold and dreary and a great time to revamp your space. We, at Nook and Cranny, are always on the hunt for creative, innovative products for DIYers as well as the latest in home décor.

We have found wonderful new products from Iron Orchid Designs. This company offers a wide-range of products from image transfers, decorative stamps, and decorative rollers. We have carried the image transfers for a few months and have recently expanded to carry the full line. The transfers can be easily applied to furniture, old windows, signs, and much more. This is an easy process that even a DIY beginner can enjoy. It just takes a jiffy to apply the transfer, and in a matter of minutes you can take your project from ordinary to extraordinary!

We have recently added décor stamps and roller stamps. When we mention “décor stamps”, what exactly does that mean? The easiest way to describe it, is to think of stamps on steroids.  These stamps are made for larger scaled projects such as furniture, linens, pillows, pillowcases, lamp shades, ceramic tiles, purses, and more. The roller stamps are great to use on furniture, but have an even greater effect on walls. With these stamps, you can personalize your home from the living room to the bedroom, not to mention how you can impress your friends and family with “I did this!”

IOD by Prima Decor Stamps are a brand new way to put your own unique style into your home decor. They are so versatile because they are designed to work on furniture, fabric, and walls, and can be mixed and matched in all kinds of combinations so that your designs are truly one of a kind. Use them with the IOD by Prima decor mounting block, which is extra large for the generous decor size of these fabulous stamps. These stamps can be used with a myriad of paint mediums including chalk paint or you can use them with the IOD by Prima Decor Inks which are specifically designed for home decor and can be used on walls, furniture, and fabric.
