(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / May 18, 2017) – Stillwater Regional Airport was recognized once again for outstanding service with three statewide honors this past month.

Stillwater Regional Airport Director Gary Johnson and Operations Chief David Lyons were honored with the Partnership Award from Team Oklahoma of the Transportation Security Administration (DHSTSA) at its second quarter awards and recognition ceremony on April 13. This award recognized Johnson and Lyon’s exceptional work to support the TSA agents serving at the airport.

The airport and Johnson were awarded again at the 2017 Oklahoma Airport Operators Association conference, where they received distinction as the Airport of the Year and Airport Manager of the Year, respectively. The conference was held April 23-26 in Stillwater.

“Thank you to all the airport and City of Stillwater team members, and our air service department and support team who all contributed to making this recognition possible,” Johnson said. “This is a testament to the hard work so many people have put into making the airport a success, especially since the launch of commercial air service last August.”

American Airlines recognized the airport’s airline team members earlier this year when they awarded Team Stillwater its Customer Cup for outstanding customer service, beating out 69 other small city airports in its category to take the top spot during the fourth quarter of 2016.
