Youth Services Holds 10th Annual Holiday Program

Story provided by Payne County Youth Services

Payne County Youth Services, Inc. is excited to announce its 10th annual Adopt-a-Family Holiday Program. This program has become an important part of PCYS and meets multiple needs for children, youth, and families. There are many local businesses, community organizations, churches, individuals, families, OSU students, and OSU departments throughout Payne County that provide essential items and gifts each holiday season. “We thank our donors for their commitment and support in carrying out this holiday tradition with us,” said Angie Freeny, Community Relations/Prevention Programs Director for PCYS.

Anyone wishing to donate to the program may contact PCYS regarding the type of donation they would like to make. Staff will gather information about the families working with PCYS, as well as needed items and wished-for items. PCYS will match a family with the donor so that all types and amounts of donations may be used to their fullest potential. Donors may also make a cash donation to the program or to the general agency budget. PCYS’s goal is to have families matched with donors by December 1, 2019, and to have donations collected by December 16, 2019, and delivered to families by December 20, 2019.

Recipients of the Adopt-a-Family program must be children, youth, and families currently receiving services from PCYS. For more information call Angie Freeny at 405-377-3380, visit the website at www.pcys.org, or find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Editor’s Note: This program is a separate one from the Stillwater Junior Service League’s Operation Christmas Store program. Be sure to see the story in this issue to read about that program.
