The Botanic Garden at OSU is excited to announce the fundraising campaign for a bandstand!
To enhance our visitor’s experience, we have moved the concerts outside the main garden and relocated them to our new Event Lawn near the Sycamore Allée. This area is bigger and provides more shade during the afternoon and early evening hours. Because we have more space in this area, we have decided to start a fundraising campaign to build a bandstand to support future performances and other programs.
The Botanic Garden at OSU is excited to have the opportunity and resources to offer free concerts and other events throughout the year to the Stillwater community. We could not offer these concerts for free without the support of the following sponsors: Hideaway Pizza, Kicker, Arts and Humanities Council of Stillwater, OSU Office of the President, Flourishes Flowers and the Sheerar Museum as our rainout location. The next concert is scheduled for Friday, June 3 at 5:45pm and will feature Tyrel Draper. TBG will also host an open house the following day, June 4, from 9am-3pm.
With the fundraising campaign in full swing, TBG is proud to announce that the bandstand will be named “Laura’s Bandstand” in honor of Laura Payne who has 20 years of involvement with the garden as both a student and employee.
TBG is also excited to announce that an anonymous donor has pledged to match the first $5,000 in donations. Donations of $50 or more will include a complimentary Friends of TBG membership and donations of $500 or more will include recognition for you, a loved one, or your company on a permanent bandstand sign. Join us and help us make The Botanic Garden at OSU even better. Please visit botanicgarden.okstate.edu for a donation form.
Thank you in advance for your support of The Botanic Garden at OSU.
