Story by Ammie Bryant, Editor
Sometimes when we are out and about around town, cool products, services, or experiences catch our attention, or we stumble upon a hidden gem that we want to share with our readers throughout the community. Stillwater has so many great things to offer, we can’t help but to crow about it!
Stillwater Antique and Collectible Mall, 116 E. 9th Ave.
For 30 years, Stillwater’s historic Grand Opera House has been home to the Stillwater Antique and Collectible Mall. With more than 14,000 square feet of showroom space and sixty-four antiques and collectible dealers, the Mall has almost any type of whatchamacallit or thingamajig you could ever hope to find.
Back in my museum days, whenever I found myself in need of something to add just the right touch to an exhibit (but didn’t have that special something in the museum’s collection), the Stillwater Antique Mall was my first stop. A few years ago, my husband and I bought a cute little 1970s era camper to fix up that we wanted to decorate with vintage items, so off we went to the Mall where we found lots of great decor and kitchen items to add just the right touch to the project. And last October, when I needed a sixpence for my youngest sister-in-law’s shoe two days before her wedding, I found just what I needed by combing through hundreds of coins at the Mall.
If antiques and collectibles are your thing, or you just want to take a walk through the past, add the Stillwater Antique and Collectible Mall to your list of things to do this fall in Stillwater.
