Ms. Emily Waters is CASA for Kids of Payne and Logan Counties’ Volunteer of the Month for January 2018. Emily currently lives in Stillwater, where she is a senior at Oklahoma State University. She is originally from Houston, TX.

Emily is a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and first learned about CASA when going through formal sorority recruitment. CASA is the local and national philanthropy that Theta supports with their time and annual fundraising. After Emily turned 21, she began training classes at the CASA for Kids Stillwater office. She has served as a volunteer for ten months, advocating for one child. Emily was able to accompany her child to some of the most monumental moments of that child’s young adult life. Being a CASA has changed Emily’s life and set her on a path to pursue law school following gradation. Emily will graduate in May with a degree in Economics.
