CASA is pleased to recognize Mr. Kirk Hardin, who was sworn in as a CASA in May, as the Volunteer of the month for January 2017.
Mr. Hardin has retired from a 22 year teaching and coaching career. He worked for years with children and teens, many living in poverty. As an educator, he worked through obstacles, struggling with the challenges the students faced both with learning and outside the classroom. In retirement, Kirk continues helping children through CASA. Mr. Hardin is beginning his second case. He is willing and able to meet the needs of the children he serves as he learns the pace of the court system. In addition to serving his cases well, Kirk has stepped out of retirement for now, working in livestock reproduction.
