CASA for Kids Volunteer of the Month for September

Tom Harrell is CASA for Kids' Volunteer of the Month

Story and Photo provided by CASA of Payne and Logan Counties

Mr. Tom Harrell is CASA for Kids’ volunteer of the month for September.

Tom has lived in Stillwater for over 40 years, owning his own business for 30. He became a CASA to generously give back to the community that had supported him.  Mr. Harrell has consistently driven substantially more miles than many other volunteers, taken more cases than the average volunteer, and puts in overwhelming hours of personal time. In the 3 years of his involvement, he’s had 9 cases, affecting 19 children. Tom shares:  “Most of the time a CASA is the only constant in the life of an abused or neglected child. Becoming a CASA has been one of the most rewarding things I have ever done and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to volunteer.”

The CASA for Kids of Payne and Logan Counties is extremely proud to honor Tom. He is one of our most outstanding volunteers. There is training starting again in October, for more information, visit www.casaforkids.com.
