Media Release

The City of Stillwater will offer special curbside yard debris clean up for residential customers who live inside city limits from Monday, Aug. 27 through Friday, Sept. 14.

City crews will collect your storm debris on your regular collection day, except for Monday, Sept. 3 due to the Labor Day holiday.

Yard debris should be placed curbside and limbs should be no more than 8 feet long.

We understand the difficulty in placing longer limbs at least five feet from your trash and recycle carts, so we ask you to do your best to give as much distance from your carts as possible.

Waste Management does ask that you do not stack your debris near structures like mailboxes, fire hydrants and gas meters.

Also, the City will not collect glass recycle totes the first collection week of September (Sept. 3-7) to allow crews to pick up debris. Glass recycling can always be brought to the Convenience Collection Center at 807 S. Perkins Road Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

If you have questions about the special debris clean up or need to inquire about missed service, call 405.533.8048 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will respond to voicemails made outside of this time frame the following work day.

We would also like to remind you that you can dispose of yard waste at the Convenience Collection Center. Bring a copy of your current utility bill to recycle yard debris at the center.

Limbs must be cut to lengths of 4 feet or less and placed in bundles no more than 18 inches across and less than 35 pounds in weight. You are allowed one truck load of yard waste per day. Also, trailers are not allowed at the Center.
