Doggy Style!

Story and images provided by Trinity Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort

Miss Roxy Kraybill is a darling little Cavashon (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Bichon Frise cross). Although she is only one year old, Roxy has a job! She is employed at Kraybill Homes as a greeter, begging everyone who enters for cuddles and belly rubs! At home, her favorite activity is playing fetch with her two-legged sister, Stephanie.

Roxy helps out in Reception at Trinity Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort

When Roxy visits Trinity Pet Resort, she is right at home up front as the greeter in reception. Occasionally, she indulges in a Spa Day with Miss Hannah in the Grooming Salon. Bathed in our typical double bath system, Roxy benefits from a luxurious shampoo that exfoliates and moisturizes her skin to rejuvenate the hair follicles after a cold winter that left her coat dry and brittle. A blueberry facial brightens her gorgeous face, leaving a refreshing scent that invites extra kisses from our groomer and ladies in reception. Roxy also receives the breath freshening service that includes a thorough toothbrushing with vanilla mint doggie toothpaste which leaves her kisses smelling great. Hannah spritzes her hair down with our silky coat leave in conditioner and blow dries it completely, leaving it fluffy which will allow for a velvety smooth and soft, finishing clip.

Roxy’s haircut is modeled closer to the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel look with a natural face and ears. Her hair is clipped down to about a half an inch to reduce matting that occurs under her collar and armpits. Hannah then trims and files Roxy’s nails and rounds her feet. Her tail is detangled and trimmed so it fans out when she wags it, which is almost constantly. Add a spritz of doggie cologne, some shamrock bows, and an adorable St. Patrick’s Day bandana and Roxy’s look is complete. She is ready for all the March festivities.

March is not just for celebrations like St. Patrick’s Day and Spring Break. For pets, this month includes Pet Poison Prevention Awareness Week from March 18 to 24. It is extremely important for pet owners to know what chemicals their animal is exposed to. For example, did you know that there are several household items that are toxic to pets including items like detergent pods, toilet cleaners, rodenticides, and even some household plants. If you believe your pet has ingested something poisonous, call your vet right away!

Do you know what you are doing with your fur babies for Spring Break? Trinity Veterinary Hospital and Pet Resort has an amazing boarding facility including five Premiere suites and several general boarding options. Be sure to try out Trinity’s Doggie Daycare for a possibility to win a gift basket full of goodies for your furry friend. Each day this month that your dog is enrolled in daycare is equal to one entry into the raffle! The drawing winner will be announced on March 30. Call today to schedule your dog for doggie daycare or to set up your pet’s boarding or grooming appointment.
