Explore your entrepreneurial dreams at Stillwater Public Library

Media Release

On Saturday, Oct. 12, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Stillwater area residents are invited to attend “Starting Your Business” at the Stillwater Public Library. The class is intended to help budding entrepreneurs learn the basic information necessary for making the dream of starting a new business become a reality.

The class is taught by Brad Rickelman, Assistant Director of the Center for Business Development at Meridian Technology Center.

“Many people have an idea they are intrigued to investigate – do it!” said Rickelman. “There is no harm in taking some time to figure out if there is a market for the product or service.”

Rickelman focuses on tips and resources that will help students acquire the tools needed to realistically explore the possibilities and set their plans in motion.

“It’s in the doing, not the dreaming, that businesses start,” said Rickelman. “While many of us may have had an idea about opening a bar, Stan Clark took the next step and did it. Clark got a small business loan to implement his plan and look at what it has become!”

“Starting Your Business” is free and open to the public. Coffee and a snack will be provided. Registration is required but will be taken up to the day before the class. To register, visit the library’s website at http://library.stillwater.org, email [email protected] or call 405-372-3633 x8106.
