Like many of you, my family is counting our blessings as we move into this season of gratitude and giving. Those blessings include a roof over our heads, food in our cupboards, and the means to clothe and care for ourselves and our loved ones. We are truly grateful for this publication, our readers, advertisers, and our company, Bryant Media, which allows us to pursue our dreams and raise our family in a wonderful community like Stillwater.
We try to be mindful of this gratitude throughout the year, but sometimes it’s easy to forget to be thankful and give back when you are in the midst of a busy life as small business owners parents of three very busy teenagers.
I suppose that’s why I’m especially thankful for the holidays. Thanksgiving and Christmas provide me with a benchmark each year to slow down (or at least try to!) and take stock of my life, my family, and all I have to be grateful for and to evaluate how I can give to others in the spirit of the season. So as we get ready to send this issue to the printer and head out on an extended family trip, we are also thinking about our year-end giving and the many nonprofits throughout our community who need and deserve support. I hope you will join us in giving back to our community in whatever ways you can this month and throughout the year.
Merry Christmas and Joyous New Year!
