From the Editor (July 2019)

by Ammie Bryant

As we enter Stillwater Living Magazine’s sixteenth year, I want to take the opportunity to thank our readers and advertisers for their continuing loyalty and support. Each of you is an integral part of our story; we couldn’t do this without you.

July finds our community in the midst of the long, quiet days of summer. But those long days will be gone soon as next month Stillwater heads back to school. How have you been spending your summer days?  Have you made the most of them? How many things have you checked off your summer bucket list? Remember to send photos of you and your friends and family as you explore our community and enjoy the wide variety of activities available in Stillwater. You can email those photos to [email protected] and we may share it with our readers in a future issue of Stillwater Living Magazine!

In this issue, we have news about exciting developments coming to the Oklahoma WONDERtorium. We also have details about the 13th season of Cool Classics at the Sheerar and a really cool FREE sports camp coming up later in the month. After the historic floods and crazy storms of this past spring, our newest contributor, Jeffrey Anderson, visited with SEMA director Rob Hill about the emergency resources available locally. We also have a story from Roger Moore about the first Stillwater Library. Be sure to celebrate National Ice Cream month/day with Karyl Henry’s latest recipe; it was the inspiration for our cover this month! All of this and more are inside Issue 1 of Volume 16 of Stillwater Living Magazine.

Until next month, onward!
