Not to sound like a broken record, but WOW! Time flies when you are having fun…and even more when you have growing kids!

School will be out before we know it and that means it’s time to make plans to keep the kids busy on the long, hot days ahead. If you aren’t quite sure where to begin or maybe you have a few ideas and are just looking for more, we’ve got a great issue for you. First, the Visit Stillwater Team’s “Tour your town” column features “must-dos” at the Botanic Garden at OSU. This is a great time of year to get out and explore everything this gem has to offer. The Sheerar Museum is hosting a traveling exhibit from the Oklahoma History Center on Oklahoma Sports History that is sure to thrill the sports-lovers among us. We also have a guide to more than twenty summer activities, programs, and day camps for kids and a few activities for the kids-at-heart among us too! Don’t delay in exploring these possibilities, many of the camps fill up quickly. Every program is different about when it opens and closes registration. If you missed out on the camp or program you wanted, make a note of it and begin checking on it in March, next year.

Springtime in Oklahoma means stormy weather. While it looks like this storm season may be fairly mild (knock on wood!), we take a look at storm chasing in “Storm’s A-comin’” by Jefferson Bryant, our sales director, co-owner, and contributing writer.

Finally, I want to share an update regarding last month’s cover story about MORGAN in concert. Due to an injury, the May 5 concert has been cancelled. Morgan Reynolds tells us that she hopes to be able to reschedule the concert at the Stillwater Community Center Houston Theater later this year. We will be sure to post an update on our website at stillwaterliving.com when we have more information.

Until next month, keep up with us online at StillwaterLiving.com where we share stories from print and many more that may not have made it to print but showcase our hometown of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Onward!
