Help build Stillwater: Apply for the Planning Commission

Are you interested in helping guide the future development of Stillwater? Consider applying to serve on the Stillwater Planning Commission.

Stillwater City Council is asking interested residents to apply by Tuesday, July 31 for an open seat on the Planning Commission.

Applicants are asked to fill out the online application at http://stillwater.org/page/home/government/advisory-boards-committees/online-application-for-citizen-boards-committees.

City Council appoints Planning Commission members to help guide development, encourage social and economic improvements in accordance with modern city planning principles and insure the orderly, efficient and economic future of our community. As a body that makes recommendations to the City Council, the Planning Commission serves a critical role in the growth and development of Stillwater.

The Planning Commission consists of five members who are residents of the City of Stillwater and who serve on terms that last three years.

Meetings are typically held the first and third Tuesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Hearing Room at the Stillwater Municipal Building, 723 S. Lewis St. Yearly meeting schedules are established in December of each year.
