Rachel Dillin is the Creative Content Editor and Social Media Manager for Soap Hub, a division of Pink Java Media. She has been married for sixteen years and has two children, a seventh and fourth grader. Rachel also has an orange kitty named Sally. She enjoys Bollywood dancing, belly dance, working out, reading, walking, and cake decorating. Rachel has a big birthday shortly after Christmas. She was looking for a style that would be cute and stylish, keeping her from looking “frumpy and tired.” Working from home, Rachel said it is easy to get stuck in a rut. Stylist, Kassi Bock, was excited to give Rachel a fresh look for this new chapter of her life.
When Rachel sat in Kassi’s chair, her hair was a faded warm blonde with no shape. She had been searching for a dark violet red shade but had not had luck achieving it thus far. With the vast variety of colors that Redken offers, Kassi easily found the perfect deep violet shade for Rachel’s hair. After processing was complete, Kassi determined the desired shape for Rachel’s cut. She wanted to add body and shape while maintaining the length. When the cut was finished, Redken’s Pillow Proof Primer Cream and Guts were applied to damp hair. A round brush blow dry was done to create volume and smoothness. Redken’s Wax Blast was sprayed all over for the perfect finish.
To prep Rachel’s face, Kassi applied Brightening PrimeTime foundation primer. The new BAREPro performance wear liquid foundation in Aspen gave Rachel a long lasting, medium to full coverage. Kassi contoured with Dark to Deep Invisible Bronze and highlighted with the New Gold Obsession cream highlighter. To correspond with Rachel’s newly violet hair, Kassi used Quartz all over the eyelid and Mahogany in the crease. Her brows were filled in with Frame & Define brow pencil in Universal Dark. For the final touches, Mineral Veil translucent powder was swept all over Rachel’s face, Lash Domination was applied to the eyelashes and Devious Matte lip color was used on her lips.
Rachel and her family love her new look. Her friends were even a bit envious! If you or someone you know need a makeover for 2018, come by LaRitz Salon and Spa at 115 W McElroy, call (405) 372-8223, or visit our Facebook page.
