Spring is considered the season of new beginnings. For our makeover this month, that is exactly what Allie Jo Hildreth wanted to achieve with her hair. Allie is one of our company’s talented team members. She is in love with her career, where she works, and the relationships she has with all of her coworkers. Allie gets to make people feel beautiful every single day. Being able to help motivate people and change their perspectives on themselves is something she will always cherish. Allie is proud that she gets to use her passion for creativity and truly makes a masterpiece with all of her clients. She is also very close to her family, especially her sister, Katie. Allie said her sister is her best friend and she was super excited when she told Katie that she wanted to change up her style. Allie enjoys nature, hiking and seeing new places.
Allie has mainly been brunette for two years and because summer is fast approaching, she wanted a fresh, new look. Stylist, Kassi Bock, completely transformed her hair by doing a full head of balayage with Redken’s new lightener with pH Bonder. pH Bonder is a treatment that is added in to color to maintain the integrity of the hair during any color service. This kept Allie’s hair from becoming damaged while restoring the shine. After her hair was completely processed, Kassi toned Allie’s hair to achieve the perfect summer blonde. For the haircut, Allie wanted Kassi to shorten her layers so that it would eliminate any heaviness while also changing the overall shape. Since returning from the Redken Symposium in January, Kassi has used the knowledge she acquired to create one of the most popular haircuts of 2019, the modern shag. As you can see by the “after” photos, Allie has two very different shapes which each style. This is what makes her new cut so versatile. Because Allie’s hair is naturally very curly, Kassi wanted to show off what the color and haircut looked like both straight and natural. To style it smooth, Kassi used the NEW Redken Frizz Dismiss line. To achieve the natural curl, Kassi styled it using Redken’s Curvaceous line and a diffuser.
Everyone, including Allie, absolutely loved her new look. She is glad she decided to get out of her comfort zone and just go for it!
