Tiffany Stokes is our beautiful June Makeover Masterpiece. Tiffany recently moved from Stillwater to Odessa, Texas for a new job opportunity. She enjoys many outdoor activities, like hiking, camping, fishing, and running. She has been a guest of LaRitz Salon and Spa for the past year. Even after making a big move, Tiffany still makes the nine-hour drive to Stillwater to see her hairstylist, Brooklyn Stevens.
For several years, Tiffany has worn her hair long and blonde. When Brooklyn began doing her hair last year, she started taking her from a natural golden color to icy white blonde. This was a very tedious task over several appointments. After her move to Texas, Tiffany wasn’t able to return to Stillwater often enough to maintain her icy locks.
When Tiffany arrived at her appointment last month, she informed Brooklyn that it was time to do something completely different. Brooklyn first cut over ten inches off of her hair. That alone made a huge change but Tiffany wanted something even more transformative. When you go from being lightened blonde to brunette, it is extremely important to go about it in the correct manner. Brooklyn had to strategically replace the missing pigment from Tiffany’s hair before choosing the final brown shade. It is also very important to improve the overall porosity of the hair by performing treatments along the way to help the new color stay. When the final color was applied, Brooklyn also added some highlights to provide dimension. Redken’s NEW Nature+Science Vegan shampoo and conditioner was the line chosen after the color was processed. Brooklyn then created the final haircut on Tiffany. Together, they chose a classic long bob with long layers to provide the style with movement when worn straight or curled. Before styling, Pureology’s Colour Fanatic and Clean Volume Weightless Mousse were applied to towel dried hair. All BioIonic tools were used to blow dry and curl Tiffany’s hair. Redken’s Wind Blown was the final product used to complete her look.
Tiffany said her new look was a huge shock for her but she really likes it. Her boyfriend loves it and wishes she had done it a long time ago. Her grandma and best friend really like it as well.
