This November’s makeover is Kallie Coakley. She is a new guest of LaRitz Salon & Spa. Kallie was referred by a friend who is an existing guest. She is currently a student at Oklahoma State University. Kallie is interested in agriculture. She also enjoys listening to music and watching Netflix. Kallie has three siblings, two younger sisters and one older brother.
When Kallie came into the salon, she was a golden blonde. She also had about three inches of new growth. She and her stylist, Cameron, discussed going darker for the fall. Although Kallie wanted to become a brunette, she also wanted to keep some lighter pieces for dimension. Taking hair from light to dark is not a quick process. First, Cameron had to replace the pigment that Kallie’s blonde hair was missing. After the first process was completed, Cameron then applied Kallie’s final color while simultaneously adding balayage pieces. The third step in this process was sealing everything with a gloss for additional shine and longevity. Generally, Kallie just blow dries her hair, straightens it, then finishes with Redken’s Wax Blast so Cameron wanted to do something different. She first sprayed Pureology’s Colour Fanatic before detangling. This is a wonderful all in one leave-in treatment. Shine Max by Pureology was added throughout Kallie’s ends for even more shine. Next, Cameron blow-dried Kallie’s hair and curled it with a 3/4 inch marcel iron. To maintain the style even longer, Cameron used Redken’s Pillow Proof Two-Day Extender around the hairline and on top.
