Makeover Masterpiece

Story and photos provided by LaRitz Salon & Spa

Our April makeover is the beautiful Bailey Williams. She is a closing coordinator at Century 21.  Bailey enjoys singing, photography, antiques, dancing, and vintage clothing. Her husband, Ian, is studies poetry in school. Bailey’s brother just graduated from the Police Academy in Norman and her parents live in West Virginia but hope to move to Oklahoma soon. When Bailey came to LaRitz, she wanted a style that would be classy and carefree.

Bailey wanted a style that would be classy and carefree. Kennedy Webb was ready to do something for Bailey that would be trendy and require less maintenance than her current style.  Bailey wanted to bring the perm back! She thinks they are awesome and fit her vintage style.  She was tired of rolling her hair and thought this would be an easy alternative. Bailey also wanted to resemble Shirley Temple. Kennedy knew that she needed to even out her layers so that Bailey would have a nice round shape to her hair. After the cut was complete, Kennedy used a mixture of small and medium perm rods to create a voluminous, natural curl pattern.  When her hair was still damp, Kennedy used Redken’s Ringlet to help shape and define Bailey’s new curls.  A diffuser was used to dry the hair because it helps reduce frizz. To finish, Redken’s Fashion Work hairspray was used all over for a light hold.

For Bailey’s makeup, Kennedy wanted to go lighter on the eyes but give a pop of color on the cheeks and lips. To prep her skin, Kennedy first used Prep Step. BareSkin serum foundation in Bare Porcelain was applied all over then set with Fair Original powder. Kennedy used bareSkin concealer in Fair to highlight and the contour color was The Deep End. The Secret’s Out blush was applied to add a soft violet enhancement to her cheeks. Then Kennedy applied the Bare Neutrals eyeshadow palette to give Bailey’s eyes the light definition that Kennedy wanted. She used Lash Domination Ink Liner to create a subtle cat eye and Lash Domination for the mascara. To fill in Bailey’s eyebrows, Kennedy used the Brow Pencil in Universal Light.  Last, but not least, Swank GenNude Matte lip color was the perfect choice for a bold lip.

Bailey is loving her new curls.  Her mom and everyone at her work was excited to see her transformation.  If you are looking to bring back the perm, the talented stylists at LaRitz Salon & Spa would love to give you the style you’ve been wanting.
