Lauren Mueggenborg has been a guest at LaRitz Salon & Spa for ten years. She is a Dental Assistant at Rose Rock Family Dentistry in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Lauren loves to hunt and do anything outdoors. Shopping is her cardio and being with her friends and family keep her sane. Lauren recently married her high school sweetheart. Together, they have two dogs, Boone and Mingo. After the wedding, Lauren decided that she wanted to change her look with the start of a new chapter in her life.

Brooklyn Lane wanted to give Lauren a trendy style that would fit her spunky personality. Before the makeover, Lauren’s hair had grown out highlights and not much shape left in the haircut. Her complexion and blue eyes are ideal for auburn hair color. Brooklyn customized her formula for the perfect blend of brown, gold, and red. The result was a rich, shiny, dimensional auburn. For the cut, Brooklyn took about four inches off of the back but kept the front longer for a modern bob. Long layers were added to keep the style fun and functional. Lauren curls her hair often so Brooklyn wanted to show her how cute the shorter style could be. Lauren has some curl to her hair so it was prepped with Redken’s Pillow Proof Primer, Guts for volume, and Pureology’s Uplifting Curl to enhance her natural texture. After the hair was dry, Brooklyn wrapped random pieces around Bio Ionic’s Stylewinder to define the look. More Uplifting Curl spray was added for texture and Wax Blast was used to finish.
Marie Felder was excited to do Lauren’s make up. She wanted to give her a look that could easily be transitioned from day to night. To prep her skin, Marie applied bareMinerals Prime Time in Light all over her face. After letting it set, she used Complexion Rescue in Buttercream. This gave her a natural glow while still maintaining a good coverage. The Shining Moment was used for high lighting and the Skinny Dip was used as the contour shade. Ready blush in Faux Pas was the perfect blush color for Lauren’s skin tone. Marie wanted to enhance her eye brows so she filled and defined with Universal Light brow pencil. For the eyeshadow, Marie used a combination of two palettes, Sexy Neutrals, and Posh Neutrals. Promised was applied all over the lid, Hot Commodity in the crease, and Nude Beach under the crease on the lower lid. Always Charcoal liner was applied on the upper and lower lash lines. For a luscious mauve lip, Exhilarated liner and Break Away lipstick were used. To finish the look, Marie brushed Mineral Veil all over Lauren’s face.
