Memorial Butterfly Release set for September 21st

Story provided by Karman Legacy Hospice

The 2nd annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release hosted by Karman Legacy Hospice will honor those who have died and remain in our hearts. The butterfly release celebration will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 21st, 2019, at the South Pavilion in Couch Park in Stillwater, 800 E. 12th Street.

Butterflies are available for purchase to be released at the event. The butterflies are $5.50 each. There are commemorative T-shirts available for $8.00 each as well.  Dollars that are collected are one way Karman Legacy Hospice tries to offset the cost of these items. The initial deadline to place orders is September 3, 2019.

Karman Legacy Hospice will provide refreshments. Seating will be limited, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets. As part of the celebration, there will be musical entertainment, speakers, the reading of loved ones’ names aloud, and the combined release of butterflies into the park. Shuttle service is available throughout the park during the butterfly celebration.

At Karman Legacy Hospice, we feel it’s an honor to be allowed to assist in the care of each and every person for whom we have cared. We understand that those in our care leave a legacy of extraordinarily outstanding memories for their loved ones. That legacy reaches our team as each person we care for impacts our hearts in distinct and unique ways as well. It is for that reason, we believe that lives should be celebrated and honored.
