Summer is the ideal time to invest in yourself with personal and professional development courses offered by Meridian Technology Center.

“Whether you’re interested in developing new skills for the workplace or if you just want a fun night out with your friends, we offer classes to meet those needs at our main campus in Stillwater and now at our South Campus in Guthrie,” said Titus Lester, Meridian’s Coordinator of Adult Training and Development.

Each semester Meridian offers hundreds of courses that allow district residents to expand their skills and explore their interests. Many of the professional development courses have classes during both the day and evening hours, while personal enrichment classes meet one or two nights a week. If time is a factor, online training is also available.

“We have a wide variety of classes for people to explore throughout the summer. The addition of the South Campus allows us to offer more classes in a location that is more convenient to a large part of our district,” Lester added.

Notable short courses that will be offered at the main campus in Stillwater include Cryptocurrencies 101, Keeping Your Daily Life Secure, Electric Vehicles: What to Know, Introduction to 3D Printing and Defensive Driving. Several cooking classes will also be offered. Examples include Candy Making, Slow Cooker Meals, Mexican Cooking and Pies from Scratch. Cooking classes provide a hands-on demonstration and samples to take home.
