Meridian Technology Center will host Signing Day for incoming high school students on April 18.

Students accepted into one of the school’s programs will complete the final step of the admission process when they sign a Letter of Intent to attend the school for the 2019-2020 school year during the Signing Day event.

“Similar to events that are associated with athletics, Signing Day activities will solidify the students’ commitment to Meridian as well as the school’s commitment to students and their families,” said Jeanie Zagar, Executive Director of Career Planning/Career Development. “It is a special day for everyone, and we are excited to recognize and celebrate each student’s acceptance into a program at Tech.”

Prior to the official Letter of Intent signing, students will have an opportunity to meet new classmates, visit with the instructor in the classroom and become familiar with plans for the 2019-2020 school year. Formal signings will take place by program beginning at 5:30 pm and will occur every 30 minutes, with five signing sessions. A reception will take place immediately following.

Family members and district high school representatives have been invited to celebrate and help welcome more than 400 students who made the decision to combine career and technology education at Meridian with their high school experience.
