Sheerar Museum knows how to Put on the Ritz

On Sunday, June 12, 2016, The Sheerar Museum Board of Trustees “Put on the Ritz” in support of the Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History.  The event was held in the beautiful Backstage venue in downtown Stillwater located at 110 W. 7th. Garden Party Florist provided the place settings and the centerpieces, Browns Bottle Shop provided the champagne and wine, and Stillwater Medical Center provided the catering.  The event atmosphere was further enhanced by live music provided by 5th Edition Jazz.

A silent auction was held featuring a variety of unique items including beautiful artwork by local artist, Jude Tolar and Woody Crumbo, as well as a Nigerian beaded basket, hand-made lace from cyprus, a beautiful fused glass bowl made by Priscilla Kinnick, and a ginger jar from China.  Additional items included a gift package from the Wooden Nickel, Pearls Oyster Bar in OKC, and a special brunch and luncheon and much more.  The event netted more than $8,000 to help fund the continued operations of the Sheerar Museum of Stillwater History.
