Meridian Technology Center is offering students throughout the district three days of fun with its hands-on summer camp experience.
Students entering 7th through 9th grade in the fall will have the opportunity to spend time at Tech and explore their interest in a variety of subject matters.
Camp will be held June 6 – 8 on Meridian’s campus. Registration is $80 and includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, transportation, a T-shirt and supplies.
“We want to give campers the opportunity to discover a particular topic, get to know kids who have similar interests as them and learn from professionals,” said camp coordinator Scott Schaefer. “Our summer camp frameworks allow students to pick between experiencing a new camp each day or signing up for one, three-day themed camp.”
Students can try a little bit of Tech with one-day rotating camp offerings that include Automotives from the Inside Out, Health Care Heroes, Salon Style, Connect with IT, From Art to Part, Power Up and Sous Chef Academy.
Under Construction and From Art To Part are offered as an all-in, three-day camp.
“Camp space is limited and camps fill up quickly,” Schaefer said. “We always hear about how much fun campers have and how much they learn.”
