The Karman Legacy Hospice “Tree of Life” will be lit Thur., Dec. 14, at 6 p.m. in the BancSNB lobby, 6th and Main Streets, and will be decorated with ornaments purchased in honor and memory of individuals. A reception follows honoring Friends of Hospice.
“The Tree of Life is a special tree because in hospice, it is recognized as our commitment to life remembered,” said Sherry Crockett, KLH executive director.
For a tax deductible donation of $10 or more to Karman Legacy Hospice, an ornament will be placed on the tree in honor or memory of anyone the donor chooses. Proceeds help us serve the needs of the dying and bereaved in this and surrounding communities.
Hospice care helps patients live in the moment, living life fully and completely as possible. Our services are available to our patients on a basis of need rather than ability to pay.
Our tree is the celebration of a life well lived. A brief memorial service will be held in memory of hospice patients that have died. The honorary tree lighter will be Gladeen Allred, community servant and former KLH employee.
The beautiful 15 foot tree will be on display through Jan. 9 for anyone who wishes to purchase an ornament or read the names on the ornaments.
To donate, contact Karman Legacy Hospice, 915 S. Main or call 377-8012. All donations are tax deductible and each gift will be acknowledged.
