Sometimes when we are out and about around town, cool products, services, or experiences catch our attention or we stumble upon a hidden gem that we never knew existed and we want to share these finds throughout the community. By doing so, we hope to encourage readers to shop local as well as support hometown musicians, artists, and attractions too. Stillwater has so many great things to offer, we can’t help but to crow about it!
Have you seen something great around town you think we should know about? Submit it for an upcoming “Around Town” feature by emailing our editor [email protected] with a good high resolution photograph, a few sentences about what it is, where you found it, and why you think it’s so great.
Stillwater has some of the best homegrown musicians! This month we had to share one of our hometown favorites, Richelle Sigrist. Early this year Richelle released her first CD “Eyes of a Stranger” featuring all original music blending classic rock, soul, blues and country sounds that has been dubbed “Gypsy Blues.” To learn more and to sample some of Richelle’s music visit richellesigrist.com. To purchase a CD of your own find Richelle Sigrist on Facebook and click the music player link to find the “buy album” option or search for her on amazon, iTunes, Reverbnation, or CD Baby.
Located west of Stillwater on HWY 51 near I-35, our readers may know that Camo Corner carries hard to find, high end outdoor brands. However, did you know that Camo Corner also carries Black Rifle Coffee Company coffee? Owned and operated by U.S. military veterans, this coffee brand is a big draw to the store. While we are not big coffee drinkers, our 16-year old son is, and the box of Keurig cups we picked up didn’t last a week, and now is a highly-requested item.
