Classic Cinema at the Center Returns!

Classic Cinema at the Center is back by popular demand, after a long COVID hiatus.

Join us Friday, June 11 at 7 p.m. at the Stillwater Community Center at 8th and Duck Streets for FREE POPCORN, free water, and parking as the season returns with a BANG well before the Fourth of July.

The CCC Series kicks off with the well-known musical, Yankee Doodle Dandy starring Jimmy Cagney in this 1942 biography of entertainer and songwriter George M.  Cohen. The show, directed by the versatile Michael Curtiz, is the story of Cohen, known as “The Man Who Owned Broadway” includes the performance of many hits like “Harrigan,” “While Strolling in the Park One Day,” “Mary’s a Grand Old Name,” and “Give My Regards To Broadway.”

Also the rousing, patriotic numbers:  “The Yankee Doodle Boy,” “Over There,” and “Grand Old Flag.”
