City of Stillwater Community Center to host Missoula Children’s Theatre rendition of “Peter and Wendy”
(STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA / May 9, 2016) — The Stillwater Community Center will host another Missoula Children’s Theatre production starring 50-60 local students in a full-scale musical.
Children entering kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to audition for the original Missoula Children’s Theatre rendition of “Peter and Wendy.” Two performances will be held Saturday, June 25 at the City of Stillwater Community Center, 315 E. 8th Ave.
Auditions are Monday, June 20 beginning at 10 a.m. in the City of Stillwater Community Center. There is no charge to students to participate in this activity.
Students wishing to audition must arrive by the scheduled start time and stay for the entire two-hour session. The first rehearsal begins about 15-30 minutes after the audition. This is a group audition, so no advance preparation is necessary.
Only students who can participate every day beginning that Monday through the following Saturday need audition. There is no guarantee that everyone who auditions will be cast in the play.
Rehearsals will be conducted every day from 10 a.m. to noon and 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Although not all cast members will be needed at every session, those auditioning must have a clear schedule for the entire week and, if selected, be able to attend all rehearsals required for their role.
A detailed rehearsal schedule will be distributed at the conclusion of the audition. Cast members scheduled for the full 4.5 hours of rehearsal will be asked to bring a sack lunch.
Performances will be held Saturday, June 25 at 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the City of Stillwater Community Center Houston Theater. The students in the cast will be called for dress rehearsal before the performance that day.
All those cast must be available for all scheduled performances.
