Red Dirt Film Festival Welcomes the Public for 10th Season

Story provided by Red Dirt Film Festival

April 13-17, 2023 marks the 10th annual Red Dirt Film Festival, open to the public and held in various simultaneous locales in downtown Stillwater, OK. The festival will be highlighting many films, live music, panels and special guests, including Danny Boy O’Connor of 1990s House of Pain fame, who now owns and shepherds the original Outsiders home museum in Tulsa, from the seminal 1983 Coppola film. Over 100 films will be highlighted from across the world, from short films to features, ranging across many different genres. Many of the films will be attended with their cast and crew for audience question and answer sessions, from as far away as France, Italy and Ireland. In addition, several screenplays will be workshopped with actors and given critiques by industry professionals.

Several special guests will be on-hand to demonstrate knowledge during topical panels, in-addition to the lively Q&A discussions, as-well as networking amongst film buffs and industry professionals alike. Eskimo Joe’s, 501 W. Elm, will also serve as host to several very special guests for the nighttime musical portions of the fest. Sunday’s awards ceremony will honour over nearly thirty-five awards recipients, including some special Tenth Anniversary Awards for previous years’ recipients, several of which went on to subsequent Oscar nominations at the Academy Awards.
