Media Release

Following her acceptance of a position at Texas Tech University, Stillwater Board of Education Vice President Tanya Massey has resigned from the school board.

“Tanya was an exceptional board member. She brought a very thorough and thoughtful approach to every situation we faced. We will miss her contribution very much, but are confident that SPS is in a better place because of her service to our community,” said Board of Education President Tim Riley.

During its regular June meeting, the board elected Marshall Baker Vice President and declared the Ward 3 seat vacant. The board will accept applications from interested candidates to fill the role by appointment from July until the next election for the seat in February 2023.
