From the Editor (April 2019)

by Ammie Bryant

We did it! We made it to spring! Can you believe it? Now if Oklahoma will just let us enjoy a few weeks of beautiful weather before moving into storm season, backtracking into winter, or worse—heading full-speed-ahead into the heat of summer. A girl can dream, right?

April is always a busy time in Stillwater. With the arrival of spring, we can look forward to the Friends of the Library Book Sale on April 11-14, the 42nd Annual Stillwater Arts Festival on April 19-20, and the Noon Lions “Made in Oklahoma” showcase on April 20th. On April 27th, Boomer Lake will be hopping with the 4th Annual Cops & Bobbers Fishing Event and the Stillwater Humane Society’s annual Walk ‘N’ Wag.

April is a great time for performances in Stillwater too—from live music to theater. Be sure to mark your calendars now to attend the Stillwater High School’s production of the musical “Crazy For You.” Performances run April 25-28. Those kids have been working their tails off to get ready and would be thrilled to play to a sold-out house each night.

With all of these events, plus several that we highlighted in the March issue and even more in this month’s issue, there is something for everyone to do in Stillwater this month! As always, we encourage our readers to visit the calendar at VisitStillwater.org to explore the many events taking place in our community as well as a great selection of events and performances available at OSU. There is just so much to see and do, I don’t know where to begin!

Until next month, onward!
