Upping Your Zoom Game: Designing Win-Win Virtual Meetings and Training Sessions

Story provided by Meridian Technology Center

Are the Zoom meetings you’re part of feeling a little tired and boring? They don’t have to be.

Virtual meetings can be just as engaging and effective as face-to-face settings, but the trick is to make those sessions participant-centered. Learn how to engage your virtual audience right from the start, hold their attention, and deliver the messages you need to share succinctly and efficiently.

On January 26, as part of the Lunchtime Learning series co-sponsored by the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce and Meridian Technology Center, Marcy Luter will present “Upping Your Zoom Game: Designing Win-Win Virtual Meetings and Training Sessions.”

During this session, Luter will share a variety of free and low-cost polling, games and chat tools; offer strategies for asking and answering questions on live webinars; and explore a framework for participant-centered focus for your virtual events.

Marcy Luter works with businesses and organizations of all kinds to meet their goals through training and other educational opportunities for their greatest asset – their human resources. Her areas of expertise include personal effectiveness and time management, playing to your strengths, communication skills and team dynamics. Luter holds a bachelor’s in agricultural communications from Oklahoma State University, and she is a certified facilitator and trainer for Franklin Covey, Gallup’s StrengthsQuest assessment, Development Dimensions International, Achieve Global and Myers Briggs Type Indicator.

Lunchtime Learning sessions are held from noon to 1 p.m. and will take place virtually using Zoom. Registration for the January 26 training is $10. Lunchtime Learning sessions take place twice a month. For complete descriptions of each session or to enroll, visit meridiantech.edu/lunchtime or contact Marcy Luter at [email protected]. Once registration has been confirmed, participants will receive a secure link to join the meeting.
