Meridian Technology Center Offering Information Course on How to Prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Exam

Story provided by Meridian Technology Center

Meridian Technology Center will offer a free two-hour information session on December 17 for individuals who are considering navigating the naturalization process.

“From understanding eligibility requirements to obtaining necessary documents and preparing for the formal exam, the process to become a U.S.  citizen can be daunting,” said Jennifer Tressler, Adult Education Instructor/Coordinator. “This information course is designed to help attendees understand what it means to gain citizenship. Hopefully, attending this will put them more at ease with the entire process.”

The two-hour course is for non-native speakers and does not take immigration status or visa type into consideration. The class will cover what to expect on the citizenship test as well as information on a free 10-week citizenship class that Meridian will offer in summer 2020.

The Citizenship Class Preview will be held on December 17 from 6 pm to 8 pm on Meridian’s campus. There is no cost for the class, but registration is required. For more information, contact Jennifer Tressler at [email protected], (405) 377-3333 ext. 327 or toll-free at (888) 607-2509.

Additional information sessions will be offered in February and March. Information on course dates and times will be available in early 2020.
