Stillwater Public Schools will host an open house for community members to tour the newly completed Stillwater Junior High on Monday, April 12th, from 5 to 7 pm. This come-and-go event will showcase the fourth and final major project in the $74 million bond issue voters passed in 2017.

The $10.6 million project included the construction of 10,000 square feet of new academic space housing six new classrooms, a complete renovation of five existing classrooms, renovation of the school’s cafeteria and multi-purpose room, and renovation and expansion of over 9,000 square feet of fine arts space and new upgraded facilities for orchestra and band rehearsals.

“Seeing the last major piece of the puzzle fall into place has made the hard work worth it,” said Superintendent Dr. Moore. “Our students deserve updated facilities, and we are excited to now have spaces that enhance the hard work of our dedicated staff and students. Having the Nabholz and Selser Schaefer teams as partners throughout this process has been key to delivering maximum results under the 2017 bond package.”

The junior high is the last of four 2017 bond projects constructed by Nabholz Construction Corporation and designed by Selser Schaefer Architects.

“We are excited to celebrate with Stillwater Public Schools as they enter a new learning era equipped with updated spaces and technology. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed becoming a part of the Stillwater community, and cannot wait to see generations of Pioneers learn and grow in the new junior high facility. Thank you to the school, community, and Selser Schaefer Architects for allowing us to partner with them to create these forward-focused facilities,” said Jake Nabholz, president of Nabholz’ Oklahoma operations.
